Announcement: Inaugural "NHI Lecture Hall" Featuring Academician Chen Deliang and Professor Dai Aiguo

We are pleased to announce the launch of ”NHI Lecture Hall" series. For its inaugural session, we are honored to host Academician Chen Deliang and Professor Dai Aiguo, who will deliver academic lectures on cutting-edge topics in Earth System Science and Global Climate Change. Your presence is cordially invited.

  • Prof. Dai Aiguo

    (Fellow, American Geophysical Union; Fellow, American Meteorological Society)

Speaker Profiles:

  • Prof. Chen Deliang: Xinghua Distinguished Chair Professor at Tsinghua University; August Röhss Chair Professor at University of Gothenburg. An internationally renowned climatologist specializing in Earth System Science, climate dynamics, and global environmental change. Former Coordinating Lead Author for IPCC with over 700 publications. Recipient of China's International Science and Technology Cooperation Award and the Swedish Royal Medal.

  • Prof. Dai Aiguo: Distinguished Professor at University at Albany, State University of New York. A globally top-cited researcher (H-index 95) focusing on climate variability and extreme events, with 200+ publications including in Nature and Nature Climate Change. Former Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Climate and IPCC Assessment Report contributor.

    • All Suzhou Campus faculty/students → Main Venue

    • Xianlin Campus graduate students → Secondary Venue

    • All faculty and students from the School of Atmospheric Sciences who are interested are cordially invited to attend.
